She is a graduate of the clinical psychology program at Saint Louis University. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh in 2009. She completed an APPIC accredited pre-doctoral internship at the University of Miami Counseling Center in 2017 and currently works in the Private Practice setting in South Florida. Her research interests include black immigrant acculturation and identity development, interpersonal dynamics and intergroup dialogues, as well as the interplay of physical and mental health (mind-body connection) in different cultures. She is passionate about working with underserved youth and adult populations from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds in school, community, and hospital settings. A fun fact about Onyinyechi is that she loves dance and performing arts.
